2. Sign Out of Any Accounts
Many devices, especially Apple products, are linked to personal accounts like iCloud or Google. Before sending your device, be sure to unlink and sign out of these accounts. If this step is missed, we won’t be able to test or process your device.
3. Clean Your Device
You wouldn’t believe some of the things we’ve seen—earwax in AirPods, dust-filled consoles, and far worse! A quick wipe-down with a microfibre cloth and a bit of TLC can make all the difference. Not only does this help with hygiene, but it also ensures your device is in its best possible condition when we receive it.
4. Package It Up Properly
We’ve seen it all—devices wrapped in tea towels, stuffed in sandwich bags, and even sent loose in a box! To keep your gadget safe in transit, here’s our advice:
- Original box? Perfect! Use it if you have it.
- No box? No problem! A sturdy cardboard box with plenty of padding (bubble wrap, newspaper, or foam) will do the job.
- Seal it up tight so it won’t rattle around during delivery.

Before you pop your package in the post, take a moment to double-check:
- Have you erased your data?
- Signed out of all accounts?
- Given your device a quick clean?
- Packaged it securely?
